The death toll from swine flue has climbed to 13 after two people were reported dead in Buenos Aires city. In the province of Córdoba, fatal cases reached 11 and 7 in BA province.
Sources at the Health Ministry in Argentina’s capital city confirmed the victims belonged to risk groups, thus recommending citizens to get flu vaccination.
Meanwhile, authorities confirmed 40 cases and 7 deaths in the province of Buenos Aires. Provincial Health Ministry Alejandro Collia said the situation is “under control” “far” from reaching 2009 outbreak rates.
Still, he urged vaccination on people at higher risks of developing flu-related complications considering the upcoming days will be «very important to determine if the curve of epidemiological cases increases.»
