After much anticipation, the Lower House passed a fertility bill on assisted and free access to reproductive technologies with 204 votes in favour, one against and ten abstentions from the PRO caucus.
The access to assisted reproductive technology will become a part of the public and private health systems nationwide once the President signs the bill into law.
The law aims to “guarantee access to procedures and medical techniques of medically assisted reproduction”.
The law says that «every adult who has the right to access procedures and techniques.”
