Buenos Aires province teachers one more time failed to reach a wage hike agreement with provincial authorities in a meeting today after which they decided to call a 48-hour strike for next Monday and Tuesday.
In statements to reporters after the meeting, the head of the Buenos Aires province Teachers Federation Mirta Petrocini blasted the provincial government saying “teachers were blackmailed.”
She stressed “it is a shame what the government did to us, without giving us a better offer.” “The decision to strike has already been made,” she went on.
