World’s number seven and Argentina’s number one Juan Martín Del Potro today announced he wont’ be playing the Roland Garros French Open which is set to begin next Monday.
He said his physical conditions are not ideal after having suffered a virus infection and a bronchospasm.
«I am sad for missing this important tournament. It hit me hard because these are tournaments one always want to win,» Del Potro said in a communiqué released by his press agents.
«I must overcome this moment, recover and prepare again to perform well in the next commitments,» the Tandil-born player added.
