Wednesday, May 15, 2013 Caló’s CGT celebrates ‘hard’ salary negotiations

The head of pro-government CGT umbrella labour union Antonio Caló celebrated a 24 percent salary raise after “hard negotiations” with the Government. He added GCT manages “18 industrial workers’ unions in Argentina who produce and generate the biggest value.”

Caló said “this Government will win the October elections” and repeated “this GCT aims to not only defend the [Government’s] model but also resolve the problems.”

Regarding to the unions’ conflicts, Caló expressed his hope to achieve “the united workers ´movement” and gather together to “discuss all the errors and modernize things.”

Caló affirmed, “we will meet with the President to discuss few problems we have in the agenda, as the income tax is not the only issue we are facing now, but also not registered work.”
