Court schedules oral proceeding in Once tragedy case

Only days before the first anniversary of the Once train tragedy that left 51 people dead, judge Claudio Bonadío scheduled to begin the oral proceedings in the case investigating former government officials, the owners of the TBA train company and the motorman responsible at the time of the accident.
His decision cannot be appealed.
This Friday February 22nd. is the first anniversary of the tragic accident in which a train in the Sarmiento line left 51 people dead after if failed to brake properly as it entered the Sarmiento train station.
Those currently under investigation are former transportation secretaries Juan Pablo Schiavi and Ricardo Jaime, the owner of TBA, Claudio Cirigliano, other board members of the company and the motorman, Antonio Córdoba.
