Carlos Bianchi reaches deal to become new coach of Boca Juniors

Carlos Bianchi, the most successful coach in Boca Juniors’ history, finally accepted the club’s offer to once again become the team’s coach.

The deal was announced by the club’s president, Daniel Angelici, a few minutes after 4 PM on the club’s official Twitter account.

“Members and fans, Carlos Bianchi has accepted the club’s proposal and will once again be coach for Boca Juniors,” he tweeted.

Bianchi, nicknamed “the viceroy”, will be officially presented in a press conference on Wednesday at 7 pm. He will be joined by Marcelo Herrera and José María Castro as field assistants and Juan Manuel Alfaro as a personal trainer.

Angelici wished Bianchi “the best of luck, as he assured that he was supported by the club’s board, members and fans”.

“It is a great joy that Carlos Bianchi has returned to Boca,” he said via Twitter.
