The Foreign Ministry announced that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has decided to appoint Cecilia Nahón as Argentine ambassador to the United States, replacing Jorge Arguello in Washington DC.
Nahón had until now been working as a Secretary of International Economic Relations at the Foreign Ministry.
Argüello has been appointed as the new ambassador to L, for which he is to be relocated to Lisbon.
The Ministry announced of other changes made by the president.
Antonio Trombetta will become the Argentine ambassador in Switzerland, while Horacio Salvador was appointed ambassador at the Netherlands.
Ministers Carlos Riva, Luis Martino and Gustavo Grippo will become the first Argentine ambassadors in Azerbaijan, Guyana and Ethiopia respectively.
