Buenos Aires Lieutenant Governor Gabriel Mariotto made clear today that “under no circumstance did he open the way for a pesification” of the province’s debts in dollars, after he yesterday supported Chaco’s decision to pay the dollar-nominated bond in pesos.
“Under no circumstance did I make reference to nor give my opinion on the way that the province is to tackle their debts,” Mariotto said today.
The official was quizzed today in an interview with a local radio station where he reiterated “the good in what happened in Chaco,” referring to the province’s choice to dollar-nominated bond debt payment.
