Raúl Garré.
Raúl Garré, the brother of National Security Minister Nilda Garré, resigned from his post in the security ministry, amid the 8-day-long conflict between Border Guard and Coast Guard officers over wages.
The outgoing government official wrote the decree (1307) that initiated the cutbacks on security officers’ wage packets; the catalyst for the current protests being carried out over pay.
The official’s departure from his post was published today in the government’s Official Gazette.
No motives for his leaving were mentioned.
