Carlos Tevez believes his short-cut with Roberto Mancini last season has helped him hit top form for Manchester City this term.
After the striker spent six months away from the club after the Italian accused him of refusing to come on as a substitute during their defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
He eventually apologised and returned to the club, helping the Citizens to the Premier League title, and has come back to the squad this season, noticeably fitter and starting in great form, notching a goal in each of his four games thus far.
Tevez told reporters, ahead of a sanctioned week-long return to Argentina: «The problem with Mancini was good for me. I’m enjoying football again which is what I wanted: to feel this hunger for glory and to be happy like this.»
“I had a pre-season like I hadn’t had for a long time. I worked very hard, I feel good on the pitch, light, strong, fast.”
