Over a thousand flood victims remain evacuated in three districts of the Buenos Aires province after severe rain that fell for several days hit the province last week, the Provincial Emergency Service informed today.
Provincial emergency service’s chief Luciano Timerman reported today 1020 people are still lodged on rescue centers in La Matanza, Pilar and Arrecifes districts.
“For safety reasons we prefer the people to stay overnight because the weather conditions which are still not ideal,” the official explained today.
He also informed conditions have improved on the Azul district , “with the exception of Cacharo.”
Timerman also stated the Ministers of Agriculture, both from the nation and province, will fly over the flood affected area to asses the damage “and decide on a course of action,” he said in a radio interview today.
