City Government Mauricio Macri said in a radio interview that the City government cannot apply sanctions on the Metrovías company for not resuming the subway service because “it is a concessionary that bears no relationship to it since “it is the National Government who is granting its concession.”
“It’s getting harder for the City to come to an agreement with the National Government in the subway management transfer because the ruling party keeps on telling so many lies that it just confuses people more and more,” Macri said.
While speaking on the radio, Macri used as an example the so-called “agreement” he signed early this year with the National Government when he allegedly accepted the transfer of the subway management.
However, the mayor assured that the agreement “never happened” because the document “only set up a framework for some joint work during 90 days.”
“It’s a symbolic agreement that they have used to confuse the population,” he stated.
