Labour Minister Carlos Tomada admitted that “corporations have stopped hiring” in Argentina due to the impact of the international financial crisis. “We need to start looking after employment,” he considered.
“Businesses and corporations have stopped hiring and that is a sign for us to start looking after employment. Just like we did in 2008, we are moving forward with anti cyclical policies,” he said.
The minister stressed that “the Government’s mortgage loans programme and the recovery of the railway system not only are for social development, they are also expected to create many jobs.”
