‘Biolcati’s always showed true coup-monger vocation,’ Aníbal Fernández

Senator Aníbal Fernández (Victory Front) came on stage to fire criticism on Rural Society’s president Hugo Biolcati and accused him of “having the vocation of a coup-monger” after the farming leader’s speech against the national government during the opening of the annual farming show on Saturday.

“The expressions of this man [Biolcati] are so disgusting that can only be celebrated by four or five close friends of him. He bashes everybody but never mentions how he benefitted with the agricultural policies set by this government. He only tells one part of the story”, Fernández remarked.

Likewise, the former cabinet chief indicated that Biolcati “has the same anti-popular and “gorilla” vision of the world that every president of the Rural Society demonstrated in the past. They only care for the money they drag into their pockets and nothing more. The Rural Society has always been a pernicious and harmful institution”

During the opening speech of this year’s farming show Biolcati warned that “Argentina shows an alarming damage of all its institutions, while the Constitution is no longer in use and doesn’t seem to be any worthy.”

Likewise, Biolcati, whose term ends in September, called for “the end of intolerance and corruption” and to get over the “perverse role of the State which sustains its electoral power by having a large group of servile governors and mayors that have to beg for some sops.”

“It is essential to carry out the moral renovation which the country demands. We need politicians with new values”, the lobbyst added.

To end, Fernández stated “this is the same Biolcati that during the 2009 farming show opening speech said that Argentina would need to import meat, wheat and milk for celebrating the bi-centennial anniversary [2010] and was also applauded by the same claque. Well, none of that happened, but of course he forgot to mention it.”
