Rafael Nadal has reported that a watch, worth around 300,000 euros, that was loaned to him by maker Richard Millie for the French Open, has been stolen, just a day after he beat Novak Djokovic in Roland Garros, Paris, to win his seventh French Open title.
According to the website «Le Parisien», the world number two’s ‘Richard Mille’ watch had been stolen from his hotel room in Paris, and police have started investigating the robbery.
It is not the first time that Nadal has been the victim of a robbery. In September 2010 he had a watch (also a Richard Mille) valued at around 500,000 euros stolen from his dressing room while he was playing in the Masters 1,000 in Toronto Canada
The watch is just one of 100 units of the model RM 027 Tourbillon. It weighs less than 20 grams and is made from titanium and lital.
