Pablo Schocklender blasts brother Sergio, Hebe de Bonafini

Pablo Schoklender filed a written report in Court in which he distanced himself from his brother Sergio and accused him and Hebe de Bonafini of mismanaging funds allotted to Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Foundation.

“I never met with another politician on any subjet, nor did I sign an agreement or request a subsidy. Never happened” the youngest Schoklender brother, who remains locked up in the Ezeiza prison as a member of an illicit association, assured.

He had been summoned to continue to testify, but he did not do so because of severe back pain and sent a written report instead.

“I want to clarify something that may seem obvious, but it is not. I am not like my brother. For years we have been referred to as if we sere Siamese, and we are not. We are two completely different people, with different friends, different lives. We are responsible for different actions and responsibilities in each area of our lives and particularly in the facts being investigated in this case,” he added.

“We neither have anything in common in our relationship with the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo. Sergio began his relationship with Hebe de Bonafini almost 20 years ago, he traveled all over the world with her and they shared many activities and projects in which I was not involved at all.”

“I began playing an important role in the Foundation only two years ago. While they signed the first contracts with the Government to build social homes and created the Shared Dreams (Sueños Compartidos) programme, I was working in order to create a library based on human rights books to be available for schools,” he added, and revealed that the only time he ever met politicians was when he met with President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner when she was a Senator, and former Education Minister Daniel Filmus.
