Anti-Moyano leaders to contest CGT elections at Labour Ministry

FATSA leader Carlos West Ocampo.
Unionists opposing leader Hugo Moyano’s reelection as the CGT’s secretary general will visit the Labour Ministry in order to contest the decisions adopted in the organization’s last Directive Council, which took place last April 24th, arguing that they never managed to muster quorum.
One of the leaders of the anti-Moyano movement and head of the Argentine Federation of Health Workers (FATSA), Carlos West Ocampo, personally assured that they had “already challenged it at the CGT.”
West Ocampo indicated that “we will follow all the formal stages in our claim, but there is no way that meeting could have taken place in order to decide the next authorities of the worker’s union “unless all the rules have been followed.”
The unionist also assured that all union leaders currently opposing Moyano will meet on Wednesday in order to protest Moyano’s candidacy at the UPCN headquarters.
When asked about a possible conference for themselves before July 12th., West Ocampo said he did not rule out that possibility.
